Do you need help in the garden? Now many people are spending more time at home it can become apparent that the garden could do with some attention.

High Quality Gardening Services

Do you require some high quality gardening services? I am an experienced gardener with a lifetime of domestic gardening under my belt and have also worked as a commercial gardener maintaining private properties.

On offer are a range of services, all of which will be carried out to a high standard with attention to detail. My approach is not to use chemicals so as to protect the environment and your local wildlife.

You can be reassured that I am honest, thorough, organised, professional and reliable.

I will provide services broadly in the area bounded by:

Oxted and Lingfield to the north. Hever and Hartfield / Groombridge in the east. Turners Hill and Ardingly in the west. Maresfield to the south.

WEEDING

Hand weeding or hoeing, whichever is most appropriate, to leave beds and borders looking manicured or to clear a neglected plot.

PLANTING

Planting shrubs, bulbs, annuals, perennials. Whatever you like I can plant it, or move it if there is a more suitable place for it.

DIGGING

Digging can be the least favourite task in the garden, and can be heavy work. As part of preparing a new bed, to create a vegetable plot, or just for maintenance.

FEEDING & FERTILISING

Feeding and fertilising, it is important to keep plants healthy. I can spread compost and manure, mulch and feed your gardens so that you get the best out of them

PRUNING

Pruning, whether roses, fruit trees and other plants need pruning at the right time of year to achieve the best results

SHRUB SHAPING & TRIMMING

Shrub shaping and topiary trimming. To keep the garden looking neat and tidy and under control.

Whether you have pittosporum, laurel, box balls, spirals or whatever all need a trim at some time of the year

LEAF CLEARING

Leaf clearing, the sign that Autumn has arrived. Regular tidying (weekly / fortnightly) or a one off big clearance in autumn/winter is possible.

HEDGE CUTTING

Hedge cutting. Focusing on smaller hedges to keep the garden looking good. Be it yew, beech hawthorn or a mixed hedge, I can give it a good haircut.

SMALL STUMP REMOVAL

Small stump removal. It’s amazing what you can remove with a mattock!

GARDEN CLEARANCE

Garden clearance of undergrowth and long grass etc. To begin to get your garden back under control.

VEGETABLE PLOTS

Vegetable plots, a particular interest. Help with creating and maintaining a source of locally produced vegetables that taste so much better than food bought in the shops.

There is nothing like a bean or carrot or sweetcorn that was picked, cooked and eaten within an hour!

PATH CLEARANCE

Path clearance (without spraying).

There is a lot that can be done by using power tools for larger areas and hand tools for the more sensitive parts of the garden to recover and maintain a weed free path or driveway.

EDGING

Edging of lawns and beds, and mowing as part of a larger job. A quick run around the edges of a lawn or flower bed can really spruce up a garden.

Mowing is available while I am on site but not generally as a one-off activity.

COMPOST HEAPS

Compost heaps – I can work with you to create your very own source of goodness for the garden.

It is easy to create a compost heap and it is so much better to compost locally whatever you can, and can save a lot of money on bought compost. I will maintain and regularly turn your compost

LOG SPLITTING

Log splitting – If you have logs that need splitting to help them dry out or so they are the right size for your log fire or wood burner please get in touch.
